Abstract: There are different version control tools which are based on different approaches like git, mercurial etc. and e.g. Subversion, but where are the pro's and con's of such tools? What are the basic concepts about distributed vs. centralized version control tools? This lecture will show you the differences between git, mercurial, bazaar, svk and Subversion and compare the tools with each other.
